The BEST Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies EVER!!

These are seriously THE BEST cookies I have EVER eaten!

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks (1 cup) of Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup of White Sugar
  • 1 cup of Brown Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 3/4 cups of All Purpose Flour
  • 1 1/4 cups Dutch Process Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 cups of Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Place the butter and both the white and brown sugars in a large bowl and using either a hand mixer or stand mixer, cream together on medium high for 3 minutes.
  3. After 3 minutes, place the egg and the vanilla extract in the bowl and continue to cream together for 7 more minutes (creaming for this long is key to the mixture being light and fluffy).
  4. While the butter and sugars are creaming, combine the dry ingredients (flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda, and baking powder) together and whisk until everything is evenly distributed. 
  5. When the 7 minutes is up add in the dry ingredients and on low speed, mix until just combined.
  6. Fold the chocolate chips into the dough and keep folding until they are evenly mixed in and everything is combined.
  7. Using a small cookie scoop, or your hands, place balled dough onto a baking sheet with the dough being at least 1.5 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 8 minutes.
  9. Take the cookies out of the oven, let sit on baking sheet for about 1-2 minutes and then transfer to a cooling rack.
  10. Let cool, and enjoy!!
